Buddy Day
What is a Buddy Day?
A Buddy Day is an opportunity for an 8th grader to experience high school life at Christ the King High School as a CK Royal. Eighth graders are paired up with a CK freshman travelling with him/her throughout the school day. The 8th graders should arrive at CK at 7:45 and report to the Main Office. Dismissal is at the end of 7th period at 1:40. Your parents/guardians can pick you up at the Main Office or you may return home on your own with parental permission.
How do I schedule a Buddy Day?
In order to schedule a Buddy Day, click here or below and complete and submit the application. You must choose a date at least seven (7) days after submission of the application. Buddy Days are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays ONLY! A member of the Admissions Office Team will get in touch with your parent to confirm your Buddy Day. It is your responsibility to notify your school that you will be attending a Buddy Day at Christ the King.
Should I bring lunch or money for lunch?
You are our guest. Lunch is on us! Eighth graders may bring their own lunch if they prefer.
Is there anything else I need to know?
Yes! All 8th graders are expected to behave in accordance with the Code of Conduct found under the Student tab of our website. If you attend a school in which you are required to wear a uniform, you MUST wear your uniform. In addition:
- Jeans, denim of any type are not permitted
- Midriffs, short skirts, shorts and athletic wear are not permitted
- Sneakers, sandals, flip-flops are not permitted
- Cell phones and other electronic devices are to be in the “Off” mode while in the building
