Student Technology

In accordance with the directives of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and in recognition of the importance of technology in education, Christ the King High School strives to strategically incorporate technology so that students may benefit from the widest range of best practices for teaching and learning. Christ the King High School is currently in the second year of our 1:1 device program with the Class of 2023. Incoming freshmen will be given a new device at the start of the 2019-2020 school year. All grades will be equipped  with a Chromebook by 2021-2022 school year.

Students will be utilizing their devices with varied strategies and resources (such as e-textbooks, software and resources provided by textbook publishers, and G Suite for Education) throughout the school day for classroom learning, homework, independent practice, research, note-taking, presentation and other educational uses as directed by their classroom teachers.

As more students are equipped with their own devices, there are more possibilities than ever for our educators to custom-tailor their learning materials to suit the students’ particular learning needs.
