The Royals Junior Varsity Basketball team have earned the #3 seed in the upcoming Intersectional Playoffs.

They will take on the winner of #6 Stepinac/#7 Nazareth on Thursday, February 20th, 2025.

12/2/2024:

Congratulations to the Junior Varsity Royals on their season opening Championship victory against Cardinal Hayes in the Tony Iurilli Thanksgiving Classic.

The Royals beat Hayes in the final by a score of 69-38. CK was led in victory by Co-MVP's Malachi Hudson and Dominic Jiminez. Jiminez led all scorers with 23 points (8/11 from the foul line) to go along with 8 rebounds, 2 steals and a blocked shot; while Hudson scored 18 points to go along with 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 assists.

Both Jiminez and Hudson were named MVP, the first Co-MVP's in the tournaments 15+ year history.

The win was the 9th Tournament Championship all-time and 4th consecutive title for CK.

The Royals are now 3-0 with games coming up against Chaminade, St. Francis Prep, and Monsignor Scanlan.

12/1/2024:

The Junior Varsity Royals have opened their season with a 2-0 record. The Royals are participating in the Annual Tony Iurilli Thanksgiving Classic at St. Raymond High School in the Bronx.

In the first round, CK beat Mount St. Michael Academy by a score of 62-50. The Royals were lead by Malachi Hudson (21 points, 12 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 assists) and Domo Jiminez (23 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assists) in the 12 point victory.

In the semi-final round, the Royals beat Regis convincingly with a final score of 68-39. Malachi Hudson scored 30 points, to go along with 10 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 assists. Guard/Forward Ethan Fordham finished the game with an impressive 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists.

The Royals will now take on Cardinal Hayes in the championship game at 6:15pm.
