in 1962 when Christ the King High School first opened its doors a commitment to academic Excellence was made to each student over 50 Palladium price the king is still making that commitment to each student to enters our school that commitment includes a challenging and demanding Academic Program Spiritual Development the latest advances in technology a dedicated faculty a disciplined and structured environment numerous extracurricular activities a nationally-recognized athletic program along with open lines of communication among faculty parents and admit stration in this video I hope you will gain an understanding of the price that can commitment and the many facets that make Christ the King and outstanding High School the video will answer many of the questions that you may have and also help you see by Christ the King may be the perfect high school for you here are a few facts about the school Christ the King is an independent co-educational Catholic High School of approximately 700 students accredited by the New York State Board of Regents we are a full uniform school all students must wear uniform shirts pants skirts and shoes the color of the shirt reflects the students grade level Jean continues to offer a fixed tuition rate which ensures that your child's tuition is guaranteed to not increase while a student at CK in conjunction with our dedication to advances in education all-freshman receipt Chromebooks Christ the King was one of the first schools to adopt the Microsoft ITA CAD program which is a three-year program that allows students to both practice in programming as well as the opportunity to access a Microsoft the scores manipulations with different programs that help students further their goals and Computer World such as surfboards Pearson Oracle Academy Autodesk and Amazon future engineers particular cartoon of stem lab starting with z space which we're incorporating it's more of our courses in curriculum partnered with our Windows lab Linux lab and teardown lab allowing for a different approach to learning in a more virtual fireman's as well as our fabrication lab which offers more of an engineering approach as we work with 3D printers laser cutters and CNC machines technology is an ever-evolving feel that's why we have Christ the King want to make sure that we offer the best first student they were always on top of the new cutting-edge technology to understand the academic commitment of Christ the King I have asked some of our students to speak to you today about the educational experiences at Christ the King my experience at Christ the King has been truly Unforgettable from joining the cheerleading team becoming the vice president of Key Club and ranking number one in my class my years that he has been very busy but exciting at the same time freshman I was very shy and extremely quiet but as soon as I joined extracurricular activities I begin to make lots of close friend and broke out of my shell being part of this year leontyne student council Key Club National Society our club and other activities has been the best decision I have made in my high school career this school has changed me for the better and the memories I've made will stick with me for my whole life price tag both a 100% graduation rate and 100% of our students are accepted to college our commitment to Faith is a part of daily life at Christ the King our faculty both religious and lay and our students play important roles in building the kingdom of God and our accounts reminder to each other of God's love connections between us and God we do this every day in prayer we have school masses in which many of our students participate as the church call ministers there are many Outreach activities ranging from helping the new students in September do food drives for st. Matthias Parish to collections for our children to visit either residents and Dry Harbor nursing home and these are a few of our opportunities are Sacrament program prepares students who have not received the sacraments the First Holy Communion and confirmation the Christ the King commitment to academic and spiritual growth is evidence we are also did you see that you have time for fun and socializing our students really enjoy being part of the many activities that make all holes and sports feels ring for hours before and after school LeBron James has been a long-time supporter and friend of Christ the King High School through his generosity in September 2018 he refurbished the boys and girls locker room and was on site for the unveiling hi my name is Isabel and I missing here at Christ the King I love Christ the King because ever since I came here to my freshman year I was very scared but I was able to meet amazing friends and amazing teachers that are very approachable I made friends that I know I will after a lifetime this is such a safe school and a warm environment for anyone I hope when you come here and you can love the school the same way I live with my past four years I'm Emily a freshman at Christ the King and I wanted to go here Listen to I took a tour with Mr arbitello he was very nice and outgoing when we took our private to her during my first day I was very excited in all of my honors classes the teachers teachers made them very easy to understand I knew immediately when I walked in that this place was going to be my second home or my family I love my volleyball team there once again like my second family I also love the teachers here they make learning easy and fun I hope to see you guys your neck hi my name is Maya Faria and I'm a sophomore here at Christ the King 2 years ago when I was making my high school choices I put Christ the King downstairs when mr. arbitello took me on a private tour I know it was a school for me Christ the King offers many assets activities ranging from Sports Club after-school Club such a softball volleyball soccer basketball speech debate theater and watch more academically the school does very well to they offer strong and take classes and honors classes where the teachers are supportive and open to all questions and concerns the students are welcoming friendly and they're going to make you feel like you're at home I hope to see you next year what might your child enjoy art playing in singing dancing how about a partner play in one of our Theater Arts Club Productions writing for a school newspaper or year book clubs it down for every interest from the computer club book club Key Club International Club mock trial robotics club and speech and debate team at Christ the King we are committed to an active Athletic program and our sports program is recognized as one of the top programs in the country in fact some students have gone on to play in Major League Baseball the NVA and the WNBA how are men's and women's teams consistently take top honors in league and New York state championships so what are you up to enjoy football baseball basketball cheerleading soccer bowling tracker volleyball as player or spectator the full range of Sports at Christ the King will help encourage good health team spirit and cooperation my name is Craig Speedy Claxton I've been a member of the Christ the King High School family that's 1990 to attend in Christ the King was the best decision I made in my life and introduce me to the best in the world that's become my life now but spray can you get The Best of Both Worlds you get a good education and get a good experience with basketball the commitment to Mind Body Spirit that is the family of Christ the King which nurtures the essential elements of a education for a sense of belonging for teachers who really care for a commitment to academic excellence in a faith driven environment in a family atmosphere we welcome you to Christ the King High School when I saw the Christ the King in 1991 as a freshman I never thought I would graduate in 1995 and I never thought I'd come back to teaching 2,000 all those things came true and then I became principal last year which I thought was a and it's a compliment but my biggest accomplishment was allowing Ava my daughter to attend Christ again as my legacy starting this year I'm going to be the right fit for me because my pants are about 10 minutes it was going to be a little nerve-wracking for me but I decided that I was going to go in the store and see what question was like once with her was over and I was like this in to school for me and none of that stuff matters anymore and so yeah I am at that thing it's another session it's one of the best decisions I could have made in my life it feels like a family already everyone in this video right now has been a part of Christ the King since they've been in high school we hope that you decided to start your own
