Letter from Principal Martinez regarding COVID-19 and School Closure

As always, it is my hope that you and your family are well.

In the light of all of the occurrences of this past weekend with the coronavirus outbreak, the decision has been made that it is the interest of our students and faculty to close Christ the King High School from March 17 until March 27. On March 26th we will reassess the situation and notify you, as to when we will reopen.

To allow for continued learning, the students should check their Google classroom and Homelogic accounts daily. The teachers have posted their work and directions for this week. Starting tomorrow students must submit their work every day.

Any student who does not have Internet access should call Spectrum 356-567-9659. They are providing free service to all students.

On Monday, March 23rd we will move into Distance Learning. All students will need to log into Google Classroom daily. Students will be emailed directions and the schedule for live classes to be held during the week of March 23rd.

The students who did not pick up their books on Friday are welcome to come to school to clear their textbooks tomorrow March 17th from 9:00 to 12:00. This will be the only time that you will have to pick up your books.

Please encourage your sons and daughters to do their work daily. Distance Learning is a new adventure for all of us, but I know that it will prove to be exciting,

My very best wishes to you and your family. Stay well.

Sincerely,
Miss Geri Martinez
Principal
